Flower Pot Brush
Simple, functional and durable, this flower pot brush is made of oiled beechwood with strong palmyra fibre bristles. The brush can be used either dry or wet and is practical for loosening built-up dirt and plant material from the inside of pots: a recommended step prior to replanting or reusing terracotta and ceramic containers. If using wet, we recommend scrubbing with a dilution of olive oil-based savon noir de Marseille. Just bear in mind that wood brushes should never be left to soak in water or exposed to rain or moisture for extended periods of time. When the brush is spent it can be discarded with your garden waste: it is entirely biodegradable.
Made in Germany.
Measures 26cm / 10" long by 12cm / 4.5"in diameter.
Made of oiled sustainably harvested Beechwood. The head is palmyra fiber which allows for efficient scrubbing of terracotta or ceramic surfaces.
Care: As with all wood and natural fibre brushes, it should not be run through a dishwasher or left to soak in water for prolonged periods. After every use, please allow your brush air-dry naturally in a well ventilated area. Once it has some to the end of its life... you can throw it away guilt free. It is biodegradable and non-toxic.
The origins of this family-owned company extend back three generations and were born of neccesity and drive. Friedrich Redecker Sr. began to develop blindness at the age of four and – when several operations yielded no improvement to his condition – he was enrolled in the Soest School for The Blind where he received what was standard training for the blind at that time: the craft of making brushes.
Today, Felix Redecker and his team are still committed to making a superior product. The expansive product range has grown to include not only cleaning brushes but cooking utensils and grooming products as well. The company is also committed to the environment and make use of FSC certified woods and non-toxic finishes. Their products are as beautiful as they are practical and – in many cases – built for a lifetime of use.
