Wooden Toilet Brush and Stand
Cleaning the toilet is never glamorous and never will be, but the job needs to get done. This toilet brush is made of oiled beechwood with light strong bristles. The matching stand is also made of beech and can be rested on the floor or wall mounted. Its open construction means that the brush will dry out between uses which, in turn, means no smelly mouldy brush. Also available in a rim cleaner version. No glamour. Just guts. When the brush has had its day you can throw it out and it is entirely biodegradable.
Made in Germany.
Made of untreated sustainably harvested Beechwood. The head is tampico fiber which allows for efficient scrubbing of ceramic surfaces.
Use: This brush is resistant to all manner of chemicals and solvents, so feel free to scrub away and use any cleanser you desire. Please note, that for your health and that of the planet, we highly recommend using non-toxic biodegradable cleansers whenever possible. See our line of household cleaners Murchison and Hume.
Care: As with all wood and natural fiber brushes, it should not be run through a dishwasher or left to soak in water for prolonged periods. After every use, please allow your brush air-dry naturally in a well ventilated area. Once it has some to the end of its life...you can throw it away guilt free. It is biodegradable and non-toxic.
The origins of this family-owned company extend back three generations and were born of neccesity and drive. Friedrich Redecker Sr. began to develop blindness at the age of four and – when several operations yielded no improvement to his condition – he was enrolled in the Soest School for The Blind where he received what was standard training for the blind at that time: the craft of making brushes.
Today, Felix Redecker and his team are still committed to making a superior product. The expansive product range has grown to include not only cleaning brushes but cooking utensils and grooming products as well. The company is also committed to the environment and make use of FSC certified woods and non-toxic finishes. Their products are as beautiful as they are practical and – in many cases – built for a lifetime of use.
